For Today...

Outside my window...is overcast and a bit windy

I am thinking...how wonderful it is to be home but I pray hubby feels better soon.

From the learning rooms...Christmas books are out and our last week of formal school ends this week.

I am thankful for...my husband, he has such a great heart.

From the kitchen...coffee brewing

I am wearing...knit pants and a t-shirt

I am reading...The Bible, I am in Psalms; my devotional; Peter Cottontail; Kidnapped & The Gift of Christmas

I am hoping...to have my house SMELL like Christmas by next week!

I am creating...a list of Christmas season essentials

I am hearing...the baby breathing and the other children cleaning their room

Around the house...LAUNDRY,cleaning, baking and decorating!

One of my favorite things...walking into a house that smells like coffee!

A few plans for the rest of the week...home arts co-op tomorrow, Awana Wednesday, getting a Christmas tree, Christmas season essentials, parade on Saturday, church and unit Christmas party Sunday

I am thinking...I am so happy I got to sleep in...

From the learning rooms...we are just doing math, language lessons and reading right now

I am thankful for...the ladies at church giving me a baby shower tomorrow

From the kitchen...apple pie oatmeal (I made me some eggs too)

I am wearing...Scooby Doo shirt and capris

I am reading...My homebirth books

I am hoping...to have more energy to vacuum and to wash dishes

I am creating...nothing at the moment :-)

I am hearing...Sarah playing with her Leap Frog Alphabet magnet

Around the house...wash clothes, wash dishes, mop, vacuum, and dust

One of my favorite things...knowing what to expect...too bad birth isn't like that

For Today...

Outside my Window...it is a beautiful day!

I am thinking...there are only 19 days left until my due date!

From the learning rooms...it is almost 9 AM and we haven't even had breakfast yet...much less started school. It will get done though. :-)

I am thankful for...my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ...without Him I would not be where I am or be who I am.

From the kitchen...I need to make breakfast, make bread, and clean the kitchen

I am wearing...I am still in pj's...I feel so lazy right now! ;-)

I am reading...mainly just my homebirth manual right now and my homebirth childbirth class manual

I am hoping...to vaccuum and mop all hard floors today...that is my goal

I am hearing...Rachel and Sarah talking, me typing, Cassie scratching on the door and Elisabeth playing with the magnetic dolls

Around the house...not much...just a little decluttering, vacuuming and mopping.

One of my favorite things...to hear the girls say they can't wait for the baby to get here. They want to see him or her so much. :-)

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...do some Awana paperwork, softball practice, 2 softball games this week, ballet, taking the girls to Awana, and home visit. :-)

For Today...

Outside my Window...the sun is setting...it has been an overcast day

I am thinking...I am hungry and can't wait to eat my salmon! :-)

From the learning rooms...we did a little school today. We did math, language lessons, home ec, and reading about insects (dragonflies & damselflies in particular thanks to the handbook of nature study blog-button is on my side bar as The Outdoor Hour)

I am thankful for...my husband (I have never met a more wonderful man and father)

From the kitchen...there are some dishes that need to be washed...not sure if that will get done
I am wearing...shorts and scooby doo tshirt

I am reading...Hours Out of Doors and Laying Down the Rails by Sonya Shafer from Simply Charlotte Mason (I skip around with books a lot...can't you tell), plus books about dragonflies and damselflies

I am hoping...to not be so tired tomorrow. Interviewing a new pediatrician and want to get a lot more stuff done

I am hearing...Rachel and Elisabeth laughing

Around the house...too much to list right now...does it ever end with a family with 3 littles and one on the way?

One of my favorite things...little kisses from hubby and him telling me how much he loves me.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...Awana, softball practice, clean, possible midwife appointment...the usual. Oh and Elisabeth's first ballet class is Friday!:-)

Outside my Window...rainy and wet! Praise the LORD!!

I am thinking...that I need to sleep more. I also am very blessed to have the midwife I do and praying for our newest nephew

From the learning rooms...there are toys that need to be put away. We aren't doing any scheduled schooling this week, just read alouds and free reading. Also with a lot of creative projects! :-)

I am thankful for...my midwife

From the kitchen...a pot of homemade beef stew is simmering...it is such a great day for stew

I am wearing...capris and tshirt

I am reading...my homebirth binder and my bible

I am hoping...I am still hoping I can get everything done "I" want to get done before the birth

I am hearing...not much...the girls are downstairs playing with blocks...happily together

Around the house...wash clothes, rest to prepare to do cleaning tomorrow (I need to sleep longer)

One of my favorite things...coming home and the girls having huge smiles and screaming, "MOMMY!!!"

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...clean, organize, finish sheets for Awana, go to Awana, Rachel's 8th birthday is Thursday!!! and softball practice on Friday

Outside my Window...I hear someone mowing their lawn

I am thinking...that I am nesting like crazy, I want to do more organizing right now but really tired

From the kitchen...is a loaf of bread that needs to be sliced

I am hoping...to have things organized before the baby comes. That is one thing that is over taking my mind...nesting can make one a little crazy!

I am hearing...Fox News...I love Fox News

Around the house...Need to organize 2 kitchen cabinets, clean out the fridge, vacuum again, sweep and mop again, declutter my desk and dresser in my room

One of my favorite things...seeing my children do what they love. Elisabeth cannot wait to start ballet, Rachel can't wait to start softball and Sarah can't wait to start Cubbies!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...My birthday is Friday. My midwife appointment is also Friday and then we are going out to eat. Oh I want to get some stuff for the house and clean-clean-clean

Outside my Window...the kids are playing outside before it gets too hot.

I am thinking...that I need to email my friend about Awana this year.

I am thankful for...air conditioning and ice!

From the kitchen... I still smell the waffles I made this morning (some are cooling and will be frozen)

I am creating...a organized and less cluttered home (want this to be accomplished in the next few weeks!)

I am going...to be busy this week teaching and the above

I am wearing...shorts and RESCUE t-shirt

I am reading...my Bible. We started Revelation at church and it is my favorite book

I am hoping...to not be too tired this week and to exercise

I am hearing...Elisabeth counting (she is doing her math)

Around the house...are clutter areas that need my attention

One of my favorite things...10 cent notebook sale. My kids LOVE notebooks!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...need to let our toad go, take Rachel to sports camp, sign Rachel up for softball if she decides and get a few decorative things for our house.

Outside My Window... the sun is setting

I am thinking... of the birth of this baby

I am thankful for... all of my children to be home

From the kitchen... I smell dinner (yummy chicken, perogis and veggies)

I am wearing... a national guard tshirt and cargo maternity pants

I am creating... a loving home for this little one

I am going... to read to my children before bed

I am reading... The Excellent Wife (still reading)

I am hoping...for a safe delivery (preferably not as speedy as last time ;-) )

I am hearing... Elisabeth singing

Around the house...I still see things that NEED to be done...I really think I am in the severe part of the nesting phase! lol

One of my favorite things...preparing a lovely dinner for my family and my husband saying, "Did you make this up by yourself or did you use a recipe?" It is great to see his reaction when I tell him that I created it myself. :-)

Around the house...are memories of Rachel & Elisabeth (We miss them! We will get them on Saturday!)
